The Spotty Puzzle
When Fifi's little brother grabs a puzzle piece, she learns that sharing can make the picture complete.
Fifi tipped puzzle pieces onto the rug. 'This giraffe will have the most spots ever!' she said, holding up a brown piece.
Momo sniffed a spotty piece. 'That is a lot of spots, ' he said. A small hand grabbed a piece. Fifi's little brother gummed it. 'Hey, that's my puzzle!' she cried.
Fifi pulled the puzzle closer. Her brother cried and reached for the box. Momo asked, 'Maybe he wants to put a spot in?' She saw the empty space on the giraffe's neck and the piece he held.
She held out her hand. 'Okay, you can help.' He plopped the piece sideways, and they laughed. Fifi turned it right, and it clicked in, a perfect spot.
They took turns. Her brother pushed pieces with his chubby fingers, Fifi snapping them in. Momo's tail swished as more spots appeared.
The giraffe stood complete, tall and spotted. Her brother patted its nose. Fifi smiled. The sun glowed on all the spots they made together.
