Sharing the Rainbow
Fifi has new crayons, but when her cousin wants to draw too, she learns that sharing can make something even more colorful.
Fifi opened her brand-new crayon box at the kitchen table. 'Look at all these colors, Momo!' She picked up the red and started a rainbow. Momo rested his chin on the table, tail swishing.
Just then, her cousin Leo came over. 'Can I draw too?' he asked. Fifi hugged the box. Momo tilted his head and whispered, 'Why don't you want to share, Fifi?'
Fifi handed Leo one crayon, the red one. Leo drew a lopsided circle. 'I need more colors for a rainbow like yours, ' he said softly.
Fifi shook her head. Momo picked up a blue crayon with his mouth. It wobbled and fell, dropping right onto Leo's paper with a plop. It left a bright blue streak. Leo giggled. Fifi laughed and pushed the box toward him. 'Okay, let's use all of them together.'
Together they drew a huge rainbow and a little fox with an orange tail. Leo pointed. 'That's Momo!' Fifi smiled.
Mom put their picture on the fridge with a magnet. Fifi and Leo high-fived. Momo put his paw on top, and they all laughed.
