The Blanket Fort Surprise

Fifi builds a secret blanket fort, but when baby Leo comes to visit, she must decide if sharing her hideout can turn into something even better.

Fifi tugged the last blanket over the couch and crawled inside. 'Perfect!' she whispered to Momo, who poked his nose through the curtain. Just then, the doorbell chimed. 'Aunt Lily and baby Leo are here!' called Mom. Fifi flopped onto her pillow. 'Leo always grabs my things, ' she sighed.

Momo tilted his head. 'Will your fort be okay with just one fox and one girl?' he asked. Fifi peeked out at Leo's wobbly walk. She wasn't sure.

Momo flicked his tail. 'I could be a guard fox, ' he offered. Fifi giggled. 'A guard fox? You're too small!' But she looked at Leo's tiny hands reaching for the blanket edge. 'Okay, ' she said, 'but only if you share your blankie, Leo!'

Leo squealed and toddled over with his fuzzy blue blanket. Fifi stretched the fort bigger, and Momo helped straighten the pillows. When they added Leo's blanket, the roof sagged just a little, but it looked even snugglier.

Inside, Fifi clicked on the flashlight. A bunny shadow wiggled on the wall. Leo pointed and laughed. Momo's tail swished against Fifi's knee. 'Do a puppy, Fifi!' said Momo. She made her fingers walk, and the puppy shadow chased the bunny.

The fort was a tight squeeze now, full of blankies and giggles. Fifi smiled as Leo patted the light. Her secret hideout had become their tiny adventure cave, and it was much louder, and much better.
