Fifi's Flower Friend
Fifi promises to care for a tiny marigold named Sunny. When busy playtime makes her forget, Momo helps her remember why her little plant needs her.
Mom handed Fifi a small pot. "Your very own marigold to care for." Fifi beamed. "I'll water it every day." She named it Sunny and set it on the windowsill.
Momo sniffed the leaves. "What if you forget?" he asked. Fifi shook her head. "I won't! A flower needs me."
Days went by. Fifi chased Momo, built blanket forts, and forgot all about Sunny. Then one morning, Momo pawed at the windowsill. "Fifi, your flower is droopy." The leaves sagged like tired little arms.
Fifi's face fell. "Oh no, I forgot!" She rushed to fill the watering can, splashing water on her shoes. Momo jumped back with a yelp. "Yikes, that's cold!" Fifi giggled. She carefully poured the water into the pot.
The next day, Fifi ran to check. Sunny's leaves stood tall again, and a bright orange bud poked out. Fifi clapped. "You're strong, Sunny!" She put a colorful sticker on the pot. "Every time I see this, I'll remember to water you."
Momo nodded. "I'll remind you too." They sat by the windowsill, sunlight warming the new bloom.
