A Crack in the Pot
Fifi accidentally breaks Mom's clay pot and tries to hide it, but Momo's swishy tail helps her find the courage to tell the truth.
Fifi threw the squishy ball in the air. "Wheee!" she sang. Momo's ears twitched. "Inside?" he whispered. "Mom said outside."
Fifi kept playing. The ball hit a clay pot on the table. Crack! Momo yelped. "Oh no! Quick, Momo, hide it behind the plant." Momo tilted his head. "But that's not the truth."
Fifi pushed the pot behind the leaves. Her tummy felt wobbly. Momo tried to help, but his tail swished and the pot rolled out. "My tail!" Momo gasped. Fifi giggled.
She picked up the pot. "Hiding it didn't work. I should tell Mom." Momo nuzzled her hand. "You are being honest."
Fifi found Mom in the kitchen. "Mom, I broke the pot. I tried to hide it, but I'm telling you now." Mom knelt down. "Thank you for telling me, sweetie. Let's glue it." They fixed it together.
The pot had a wobbly crack. Mom smiled. "Now it's a special pot. It tells a truth story." Fifi set it on the shelf. Momo curled around it, and his tail gave a happy thump.
