The Apple Bounce
At the farmer's market, Fifi and Momo see a bag of apples spill everywhere. Can they help turn a mess into a sunny moment?
Fifi held Dad's hand as they walked past bright stalls. Momo sniffed at a bundle of carrots.
Suddenly, a paper bag in front of them split open. Red apples bounced across the cobblestones. Momo's ears perked up. 'Oh no! Apples are running away!' he said. 'Do you think we should do something?' He looked up at Fifi.
Fifi darted forward. 'We can help!' She scooped up two apples and held them tight. Momo chased one that rolled near a cart, but it slipped from his mouth and bumped his nose. 'Oof!' Momo shook his head, and Fifi giggled.
The woman laughed too. 'You two are sweet!' Dad came over with a spare cloth bag. 'Let's put them in here, ' he said. Fifi helped drop the apples inside.
When the apples were all safe, the woman knelt. 'Thank you both. That was very kind.' Fifi's cheeks felt sunny in the warm air.
They waved goodbye and walked on. Momo's tail swished. 'My fur feels extra fluffy now, ' he said. Fifi laughed and patted his head.
